What is Soap Scum?

Soap scum is a white plaque build up in  the shower or sink.

What causes this build up?

It comes from hard water, oil coming from our skin, scalp and hair. Hard water has a high calcium/magnesium content. When it is mixed with soap products including shampoo, oil from our skin. This combination creates, soap scum.

How to prevent soap scum build up?

The simplest way is to rinse down the shower after each use and squeegee it dry afterwards.

How to remove soap scum build up?

Depending on the build up, if it is a light build up. A mild abrasive will remove it. Heavy soap scum build up will require a mild abrasive on a scrubby pad.
