About Sea Green Natural Cleaning, LLC
Started in 2011 by Cathy Mails, Sea Green Natural Cleaning, LLC performs residential cleaning services in Surf City, North Carolina and the surrounding towns. Our focus is to provide busy home owners with reliable, professional, and affordable house cleaning services for your home. But we don’t stop there. We take note and mention if we notice that something isn’t right… if we notice if a fan blade is broken, a window has a crack, or a sink is clogged.
We pride ourselves in our steadfastness. We only use “green” cleaning products that are made using sustainable manufacturing practices and with safe, biodegradable ingredients that don’t negatively impact the environment. We only use products that are safe to use around children and pets. At times, customers will ask us to use their cleaning products. We’re happy to do so as long as the product is not harmful. (We don’t use bleach.) We sanitize every light switch and door knob throughout your house.
In order for us to provide you with a free estimate, we prefer to meet our customers in person. This allows you to point out specific items, such as a fragile figurine on a hutch that shouldn’t be touched
About Our Founder
How it started: My parents owned a small business on the Connecticut shoreline where they rented seasonal cottages. When I was a teen, my parents handed the responsibility of managing this business to me.
My duties included:
- Cleaning the rental properties between visits and at the end of each rental season.
- Checking in guests and making sure that they had all the amenities needed for a restful stay.
We were booked months in advance each and every year. I believe one of the reasons for our success was the cleanliness of our cottages. I left the rentals spotless after each guest left. Thus began my passion for cleaning.
Eventually, my parents sold the business, but I was bitten by the cleaning bug. Throughout the remainder of my high school years and even during college, I worked at two bed and breakfasts and an inn.
How it’s going: In 1986, I started my cleaning business. I put one ad in the local newspaper and, within one day, I had received over twenty calls.
I have always been passionate about using safe natural cleaning products and finding useful ways of creating a sustainable environment. I do my part by using natural cleaning products to clean my clients’ homes. But don’t take my word for it.
