Fact Friday

Did you know…

A ceiling fan with 36- inch blades uses approximately 55 watts of energy. A fan with 48-inch blades uses approximately 75 watts of energy. A fan with 52-inch blades uses approximately 90 watts of energy.

The efficiency of any fan is reduced when you add dust on top of the blades. Dust collects quickly especially if the fan is running a lot.

Removing the dust will help with the efficiency  of the fan and will help with the reduction of added dust to a room.

Is there a way to prevent dust from collecting on the ceiling fan blades after they have been cleaned?

The answer is yes. Here is a homemade Anti static spray recipe to help prevent the collection of dust onto the fan blades.

One part Rubbing Alcohol to one part water. If you don’t have rubbing alcohol white distilled vinegar can be used. Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle and spray onto the clean fan blades.
