Dust is alway in a home even after cleaning.

Scientifically speaking there are three types of particles to explore and mention that are throughout a home.

  • Inhalable particles 15µm–100µm in diameter that settles within 1 minute. Examples of these are: Travel on roads, Salts, Windblown dust.
  • Thoracic that is less than 10µm in diameter that settles within 3 minutes.
  • Respirable that is less than 5µm in diameter that settles within 8 minutes.

Dust can’t be eliminated all together. Dust particles are always floating in a house specially after a cleaning whether the vacuum that was used has a HEPA Filter.  Types of  Materials to consider to help with dust and dust mites are:

  • Silk
  • Wool
  • Bamboo

Common suggestions, file papers, encase pillows, have no carpets. Wash linens in hot water weekly, take shoes off when entering the house, keep pets washed and brushed.
